Insurtech Gateway led their oversubscribed £600k Pre-Seed round in March 2024.

Problem

As it stands, loss data is fragmented, inconsistent and inaccessible. Too many singular interests and lack of external expertise means products are administrative and expensive.

Asterias Founders

1. Andrew Walker (Co-Founder and CEO) –  20 years insurance industry experience in the Lloyd’s and Company Markets as both a broker and underwriter; working for legacy multi-nationals and startups. He has gained deep insights into the real market challenges that need fixing at carrier, client and distribution level. 
2. Jacques Germishuys (Co-Founder and CTO) – 12 years of software engineering experience, with over nine years as a Team Lead at Striate, providing software that enables seamless data transfer.
