Insider Media: GUARDHOG CLOSES FUNDING ROUND

“A Hampshire-based business which provides pay-per-stay insurance services to the short-term rental market has closed a fundraising round with the support of law firm Thrings.

Guardhog was founded in London by Humphrey Bowles and Andrew Boldt three years ago before relocating to Stockbridge.

It supports those renting out their properties through the likes of Booking.com or Airbnb.

It secured a cash injection from Insurtech Gateway, as well as investment from the government’s Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) and Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS).

Boldt said: “The sharing economy is constantly evolving and we are really excited to play an important part in giving people the confidence to get involved….”
